Meet Barb Olson

I'm Barb Olson and I hail from Nelson, B.C., Canada. You may notice that my puzzles contain a few more Canadian references than are found in most American-style crosswords. As a Canadian, I've always found myself a little on the outside when solving crosswords. So, after being published several times in the NY Times, the LA Times and other U.S. publications, I turned my mind to my fellow citizens. The result is ClassiCanadian Crosswords. My goal with these is to include Canadians in the crossword-solving fun, while never losing sight of what makes American-style puzzles so fun: brilliant themes, tricky wordplay and clever clues. To these key puzzle-making ingredients I add just a dash of "maple" flavour. Enjoy!
